Who We Are

We are a collaborative community that is actively engaged in building strong technology industries by supporting the efforts of our community. We strive to assist and advance, and support technology development in Northeastern Maryland and we provide value by supporting the community a forum to learn, share, and connect.

Our Mission

The Northeastern Maryland University Research Park’s (NEMD-URP) mission is to serve our community, secure our nation, and improve the quality of life through technical innovation and education.

We support our community by driving innovation through advocacy, education, workforce development, and connecting entrepreneurs, academia, and government.

Our multidisciplinary environment strengthens

national defense priorities through:

  • Advanced degree opportunities
  • Research, development, and technology transfer collaboration
  • Critical skills knowledge worker education
  • Business/technology incubation and mentoring

Our vision is to propel the Northeastern Maryland Region to become a leading innovation hub for physical and life sciences, engineering, and technology in the country. Our vision is to be nationally recognized advanced multidisciplinary academic, science and research campus creating technology-led economic growth for the region.
